General Management:
Helped turn a business from loss to substantial profit between 1999 and 2005. Implimented a significant warehouse refit to increase capacity by 50%. This is turn improved efficiency and produced cost reduction in overall warehouse operation. Have assisted the development of key National Accounts such as Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA, Woolworths, Birthdays, Toys R US and WHSmith. Have assisted and developed the relationships with key licensors such as Disney, Marvel, Hasbro, Mattel and many third party representatives. Helped assist the sale of one business in 1999.

Sales and Marketing:
Has driven both the sales / profit line as well as the product development line in two companies. Developed relationships with key own label partners (ELC and WHS) doubling both turnovers in two years. Sold a record number of one book title to achieve the No.1 top selling childrens hardback in 1997 (650,000 copies).

Business Development:
As National Account Manager I have opened up new trading accounts with ASDA, Sainsburys, Tesco and Boots. Have also extended range selection throughout account portfolio thereby increasing account value, market share and display dominance.

Owner and Business Development Specialist of Profit Generation Systems. Expert in quickly improving sales and profits for SME’s.  Experience in Office Supplies, Commercial Loans, Cleaning, Jewellery, Logistics, Security, Toys, Gifts, Shopfitting, Personalisation.

1999 to May 2005, Gemma International Ltd - Hampshire

Managing Director – children’s licensed greeting cards and party gift products. Grew turnover from £6m to £9m. Turned loss in 1999 into an 8% net profit by 2004.

1996 to 1999, World International Ltd – Cheshire (part of Egmont Holdings)

Sales and Marketing Director – children’s book publisher noted for Mr Men series. Turned business from loss to profit before assisting the sale of the business in 1999.

1993 to 1999, J A Dixon Ltd – Isle of Wight (part of the Rexam group at the time)

Various Sales Management roles including Senior National Account Manager and General Sales Manager. Opened new accounts including ASDA, Tesco, Sainsburys and Boots. Reduced Sales Department head count by 35% without an effect on turnover.
